The first day of our tour takes us from the hotel in Marrakech to Telouat, then to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historical site, with its market stalls in a fortified town, immerses you in an authentic atmosphere. Private tours make it easy to explore the kasbah’s labyrinth of souks and narrow streets. We then continue our adventure with a visit to Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Desert." This magical city, which served as the backdrop for films like The Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia, is a popular filming location. After a hearty lunch in one of the charming cafes in the city, the tour heads toward the Dades Valley. There, your group will settle on the edge of the desert in Boumalne Dades for a unique experience in nature.
After breakfast on the second day, we’ll explore the Dades Valley further before heading toward the Todra Gorges. This region, a true grand canyon, features well-maintained roads, climbers scaling its walls, occasional flooding from the Dades River, and several tourists marveling at the unique landscape. The journey from Dades Valley to Merzouga will take approximately four hours. In the evening, just before sunset, the private group will embark on a camel ride towards a desert camp. Trekking through the dunes and witnessing the sunset is a rare experience, available only to those who visit Morocco on a desert tour.
The camels will return the group to Merzouga, where we will begin the journey towards Fès. Along the way, you’ll visit Ifrane, one of the cleanest and most fascinating cities in the Moroccan desert. You’ll also have the chance to admire the Ziz Valley before reaching Fès, just in time for dinner and the conclusion of your private tour.
This day will also mark the end of your memorable journey.
